White Ribbon: Australia’s Campaign to prevent men’s violence against Women
The Club is a solid supporter of the White Ribbon organisation. This worldwide group works to stop violence against women in society.
On Monday 29 November 2018 over 2,500 members of our local community joined together in a show of commitment to this cause and walked from Cabravale Memorial Park to Freedom Plaza. This march was organised by the Cabramatta local police command and Fairfield City Council. At the event was Guy Zangari MP for Fairfield, Nick Lalich State MP for Cabramatta, Mayor Frank Carbone Fairfield City Council, Dai Le Councillor Fairfield City Council and Superintendent Peter Lemmon Fairfield local city command.
Representing the Club was President George Taylor,Director Lindsay Sharp along with the senior management team. The Club also donated to the community in partnership with the Cabramatta Liquor Accord the White ribbons that represent the event to all the participants of the walk. The club also assisted the community by suppling the bottled water on such a hot day to all.
