Since 1925, Cabra-Vale Diggers has been the friendly venue for people of all ages across Sydney’s’ vibrant southwest, to meet, relax, and enjoy each other’s company, with excellent food and entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere.

Our Bowlers Club and their members stem from the core of the clubs’ existence, forming the foundations of the past and the passion for the future!

THE FACTS

  • The Cabra-Vale Diggers Group is home to over 60,000 members
  • More than 20,000 people visit Cabra-Vale Diggers on a weekly basis
  • We are the home of dining in the South-West of Sydney grab a meal from District 8, Horizon Dining or Bistro 1925. We also have the Poppy Café available for light snacks and great coffee
  • Our Sports Arena Bar is located on level 1 where we have big screens, great food, and a great atmosphere to watch all sporting events big or small
  • The Space Event Centre available for functions large or small

ON THE GREENS

  • Approximately 200 members and visitors per week attend our greens for competitions and social events
  • State of the art bowling facilities along with Members bar and lounge that were completed in 2022
  • As the host venue for many inter club and international tournaments, our bowlers’ area attracts patrons Australia wide

OUR FUTURE

Building works are well underway as Cabra-Vale Diggers work towards the next stage of the Master Plan development of a 140 room Hotel which includes more function space and two new restaurants.

MEN’S BOWLING CLUB

The Cabra-Vale Diggers Men’s Bowling Club was first established in 1955 with a proud history of many Zone and State titles. Members have the option to play Bowls 5 days per week with both daytime and night-time social events available.

All championships, pennants and other major events are played on weekends.

Cabra-Vale Diggers is well-known as the friendly club on the greens and new members are always welcome.

WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

The Cabra-Vale Diggers Women’s Bowling Club was officially opened on 5th July 1961. Ladies have the option to play Social Bowls 4 days per week, with Wednesdays being the main social bowls day.

All championships, pennants and other events are played on weekends, catering for any working members. Cabra-Vale Diggers Women’s Bowls hold both internal and external tournaments and is a popular venue for hosting district and state events.

Our Ladies are welcoming and are always looking for new members and new friends.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Cabra-Vale Diggers have regular open days to learn to play lawn bowls and have a full-time team ready to give free lessons to help you join in the fun. It’s a great way to meet new friends, exercise and enjoy the first-class facilities so why not give bowls a go?!
