Regimental Dinner 2022
As part of objectives of the Club is to promote, foster and maintain an active interest in the Military (Army, Navy, and Air) Forces of Australia and to promote good fellowship.
It is with great pride that we advise that Cabra-Vale Diggers recently hosted the 142 Signal Squadron, 8 Signal Regiment, Regimental Dinner on the 19th of November 2022.
These occasions are an opportunity to foster comradeship among senior and junior officers. It is seen by the military as a sacred tradition and occurs across all services.
The event was organised by Walter Robinson, OAM Director of the club in consultation with the WO2 David Joliffe from the Regiment.
Over 70 officers and friends attended the dinner. The Club’s Vice President Ronnie Moore presented a medal commemorating the 2/2 Australian Infantry Division (WWII) to Major Jonathan Broz, Commanding Officer 142 Signal Squadron.
The evening had all the ceremonial aspects of a regimental dinner with the gabble being used to announce the next formality on the night. Also in attendance were Directors Lindsay Sharp, Joe Farrugia and Shane Burette.
The dinner was held in The Space Event Centre and indeed it was a successful night enjoyed by all.
