Chess Club

Interested in Chess? Want to play friendly chess games and or tournaments? Cabra-Vale Diggers Chess aims to cater for beginner to professional representative players.

Social chess players are most welcome to join. It is open to club members every Monday from 7pm. Enquire at reception. There is a fee of $30 that will cover for the membership into NSW chess registered tournaments.

Cricket Club

The Cabra-Vale Diggers Cricket Club has been operating since 1962 and plays both Summer and Winter Competitions in the Fairfield / Liverpool area. Both Seniors and Juniors are eligible to participate with Juniors training on either a Tuesday or Thursday.

Fishing Club

Love getting out on the water? Well, why not join the Cabra-Vale Diggers Fishing Club?

It’s been in operation since 1955 & is the oldest Sub Club of CVD.

Any Cabra-Vale Diggers Member is able to join the Fishing Club but be warned, the boys like to get you out on the water and test your skills before they will sign you up!

Junior Ladies Netball Club

Cabra-Vale Diggers Junior Ladies Netball Club is a very progressive club & caters to all levels of players from beginners to representative standards as well as social teams for young adults & mums. The Netball Club is always seeking players especially from the 5 – 13 year age bracket – don’t worry if you can’t play, they will teach you!

Ladies Auxiliary

The Cabra-Vale Diggers Ladies Auxiliary is a not-for-profit fundraising committee raising much-needed funds for the local community.

Just some of the causes that the Ladies Auxiliary donate to include: Fairfield Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, Salvos, Miracle Babies and Care Flight. If you would like to join the Ladies Auxiliary please contact the Secretary to receive your application form. The Ladies Auxiliary meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 1.30pm at Cabra-Vale Diggers.

Men's Bowling Club

We look back with pride and gratitude on a wealth of achievement, friendship and relaxing sportsmanship since 1955. Each year the Men’s Bowling Club plays Pennants and Club Championships. Bowling is a great way to get involved and meet some fantastic people!

Table Tennis

The Table Tennis Club is a Sub Club of Cabra-Vale Diggers and meets every Friday from 7.30pm in the Games Room (Level 1) for their weekly competition. The members come from a wide variety of ages & skill levels and any member of Cabra-Vale Diggers is eligible to join.

Looking to develop speaking and leader skills? Cabra-Vale Toastmasters Club is part of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organisation that operates in clubs worldwide.

At Cabra-Vale Toastmasters Club Communication, public speaking and leadership skills are improved through many strategies. Guests are welcome to attend the meetings and have fun. If you want to be entertained, learn and meet new people of different ages you definitely should come and join us!

Women's Bowling Club

The Cabra-Vale Diggers Women’s Bowling Club was officially opened on 5 July, 1961. The Women’s Bowling Day is Wednesday. Players can play away at Tournaments, Pennants are played every year in February / March on a home and away basis. Cabra-Vale Diggers Women’s Bowls holds tournaments and sometimes the Club also hosts district tournaments.

Fairfield Athletics

Our season will commence in September 2023 and run till March 2024 every Saturday morning at 9am in Makepeace Oval, Fairfield.

  • We cater for kids from 3 to 16 years of age and of all sporting levels from beginners right through to State and National levels
  • Our club is focused on having FUN and improving kids throwing, running, jumping and fitness
