KOKODA GOLF CHALLENGE
The Kokoda Golf Challenge raised over $23,000!
This year saw the return of the Kokoda Golf Challenge at Lynwood Country Club held on Monday, 3rd April after COVID and major flood events impacted the event.
Cabra-Vale Diggers entered a team to participate with Brian F, Beau F, Jason L and Shayne attending. Over 100 golfers enjoyed a great day’s golf lunch with great weather.
The Kokoda Youth Leadership Challenge is a life-changing experience that provides young people with an opportunity to challenge themselves physically and mentally while learning about the significant role played by Australians in the defense of Papua New Guinea during World War II, as well as understanding the history and culture of the Kokoda Trail.
Raising $23,000 will give three deserving young people a chance to participate on this challenging journey. These young leaders will return from the trek with a newfound appreciation for the sacrifices made by the soldiers who fought on the Kokoda Trail and a sense of pride in themselves and their country.
