DRIVE TIME FOR REFUGEES

On 17 July 2017 Cabra-Vale Diggers hosted the first graduation of the Drive Time for Refugees program. Ray Williams NSW Minister for Multiculturalism and Disability services along with CEO from the NRMA, Frank Carbone Mayor Fairfield City Council and Joanne Cracknell GM Gymea Community Aid and Boris Belevski were on hand to congratulate over 30 persons on the day. Cabra Vale Diggers is part of this great program to support refugees to obtain a NSW Driving Licence.

Cabra-Vale Diggers hosts the program in the Fairfield district. This requires the Club to provide a designated car park for the vehicle 24/7 and control the administration of the process on site. The driving instructors come to the Club and collects the keys and takes the learner driver on a driving lesson.
